It's not often I wish I had a car, but now is one of those times. I need to get a bunch of furniture as cheap as possible. I can get decent stuff off craigslist, but I have to pick it up and well I kinda can't. Will have to see if the new roomies have friends with cars.

Furniture on Craigslist
More pictures of baked goods and other things
I'm trying to get out and explore the city a little more than I have in the past. To that end I went to Devon and California to get hachapuri which is made of deliciousness and totally worth the minimum 3 buses it takes me there. I wanted two but the guy working there wouldn't let me have a box unless I bought 6, so I just got too frustrated to argue the point and bought 6. Then I went to Rosehill cemetery for a look see, eat cheesy flaky pastries and read my book. Had to run out of there because I was afraid of getting locked in, there's a very forbidding sign on the gate saying it closes at exactly 4:00 and you will get locked in. The Fires of Pompeii
Okay, solid episode, but what made me most happy. That me and the writer clearly had the same Latin textbook as kids. The daughter didn't exist, but Caecilius, Metella, and Quintus totally characters in that first book. It's kinda too bad the episode didn't end with Caecilius being trapped by a falling stone wall and then guarded until he dies by his faithful dog. Bread for Posterity
So today, at my roommates suggestion, we made Challah bread. It looked really good so I thought I'd take pictures of it for posterity. It seems somewhat unlikely that Elizabeth making bread will happen again any time soon. If I Could Drive I Could Rent a Car!
Happy Birthday to me. Today I am a whole 1/4 century old. Where did the time go. Small Scale Super Tuesday Stuff
I feel like I'm living in crazy upside down world as I say this, but Sean Garballey won his primary for 23rd Massachusetts state rep. Who would have thought a boy I used to think was too much of a baby to play street hockey with is now going to be in the state legislature. Shit I'm only 24. He's not even my childhood friend, he's my little brother's childhood friend. Sean's a good kid and I wish him all the best. I was touched that he sent me campaign lit when I haven't lived in Massachusetts in 2.5 years. But OMG one of the twins is going to have Jim Marzilli's seat. God Bless Illinois!
I'm going to get unemployment. Thank fucking god. Oh Fucking Hell
anthropomorphicfruit.com has been down for about a week and I haven't been able to do anything because my webhost was all fucked up and I couldn't even log into FTP. I can log back in now, but the entire site has been erased and now I have to begin the tedious process of putting all of it back up. It's times like this I realize what a really ridiculous amount of content is in there and how poorly organized much of it is on my computer. I tried to do most of it in one big queue, but that just crashed the program. Good stuff that. The Virtual Suck Tour of Arlington
Okay as a special treat for any Arlington people on my FL (and I know there are at least a few of you) here's a link to the profile Weekend America did of the infamous Virtual Suck Tour of Arlington. It's comedy gold. Two Lifealtering Videos Starring My Brother
( Rob's Box ) Todd for the win!
I was really pleased that Todd won Survivor. I swear that boy was playing by himself the whole game and was thus the only person who deserved to win. I Win at Life
I couldn't unlock my apartment door. After twenty minutes of wrestling with it I had to go outside to the perpetual renovation project that is the first floor of my building and find someone to help. Not that this will last or anything, but right now, I kinda just feel bad for the Rockies. Ron Huberman Wants to See Me Cry
The new CTA Doomsday plan for January 1 leaves me a half mile shy of my job just in time for the middle of winter. Fantastic! This really needs to not happen. It needs to not happen so much. I'll trade them the X9 for the 76 or 50, really I will. Sugar Rush

I've fallen completely in love with Sugar Rush, so I'm trying to do Guilty Pleasures Past and Present
I posted these somewhere else so I thought I might as well post my guilty pleasure tunes here too. |
